The document

I looked at the telephone a ringing, ignored it and turned back to continue searching through my vanity drawers. The phone continued ringing disrupting my concentration, I picked up the phone irritated by the persistent ringing. "Hello, this is not a good time," I gritted.

"Miss, there is a little problem," Mr. Jiang whispered.

"What is that?" I asked him curiously. "Mrs Lee is home," he said. "What? Why is she home?" I asked. "I don't know why she is here miss," he replied.

"I haven't found what I came for," I whispered.

"I'll be down soon, drive to the kitchen, I'll meet you there," I said and ended the call. I should have started in dad's study. I looked at the file in my hand and my wardrobe.

"A quick search is better than nothing," I convinced myself. I flipped through the file I was holding and found the document I was looking for, I also found the photocopy of the first case I solved and won through dad. I laughed in relief, closed the file and all the drawers I left
