The next morning, I was woken by the weight of something on me, in panic, I stood up startling Min Jun awake. "Sorry," I apologized when I realized it was his hand on me. "What happened?" He asked. "I forgot to put the barricade and your hand was wrapped around my waist, it was quite heavy so I panicked without investigating the cause and mistakenly woke you up," I explained. "What barricade?" he asked. I pointed between the bed and he nodded. "Sorry, I should have slept in thr living room," he said and aimed to leave the bed. "Wait! Min you don't have to go, it was just a surprise, you have really heavy arms," I joked. "I guess, going to the gym paid off," he said and flexed his muscles. I laughed and held his left triceps. "It's pretty huge," I said. "What can you lift?" I asked him. "You," he answered. I laughed and before I could react, I was being
We had been in the hotel for the week and it was finally time to leave, I called Mr. Jiang and he was willing to come help me move my boxes to the new apartment. My stay at the hotel was wonderful, I was going to miss the meal delivery and how I got to eat anything I watned wiethout bein scolded or chatised by my parents. Freedom sure did taste sweet. My boxes were arranged in the boot and it was time to hit the road."Is everything ready miss?" Mr. Jiang asked. I nodded at him and he started driving. Min offered to sit with him in front while I was left alone in the back seat. I usually sat here alone but today it was boring, they both sat in front and conversed like they knew one another for ages, but me who Mr Jiang has known for years, he left alone and has refused to stop calling me miss. I pouted and restrained from throwing a tantrum, I was too old for those. The thirty minute drive to the condo was the longest thrity m
The next morning I woke up feeling very good and happy, I needed to tick another thin on my bucket list and the easiest was to go to a park. My dad always thought ti was a waste of time to take me there and mom was never going to go against dad and I didn't have friends who could tag along so I never really got o go to one. I went to the kitchen and stared at all the different ingredients and foodstuff, i wanted to do something nice for Min but I'll rather not poison him. After searching for a while I found bacon strips, eggs and the bread loaf. That should do as breakfast. I turned on the electric kettle, while the water boiled, I searched online for how to cook bacon and followed their actions exactly. I fried the bacon strips and fried the egg, the egg ended up a bit burnt but we could manage it. I made two cups of black coffee, took the sugar storage container and the milk carton to the living room and set the table to the best of my ability. i smiled at my work and I was really
I tried everything to get Min back for sticking ice cream on my face for the second time but all my opportunities failed. It was almost evening and the park was starting to get more visitors, I had to retreat and we had to go home. "Hey at least you got free ice cream," Min teased. "I didn't want free ice cream, I wanted to get a chance to get you back for making me sticky and sandy," I groaned. "It's all part of the Min park experience and you'll get another chance soon," he said. "That's a lie," I argued. We argued back and forth until we got to the apartment, opened the door and saw my parents in it. "Welcome," my dad said. "You're in my apartment," I whispered shocked to see my parents. I haven't seen both of them since I got married a week ago. Min hit me with hos elbow and when I turned to complain, he mouthed greet. "Where are my manners?" I asked rhetorically and laughed but no one else laughed. That was funnier in my head. "Left in the family house," dad answered. "Go
The next morning I woke up with a banging headache and swollen eyes. I held my head and wandered what i had thought about that left me feeling so sore and tired. I waited for a few minutes and when the ache calmed down, I went to the living room, there was no Min or any sign of another life in the apartment. "I wonder where he went," I thought. I enter the dinning and noticed a plate was covered and underneath it, there was a note sticking out. I looked around, I didn't know what I was searching for but if I had found it, I probably would have known. ...Hey, I tried coming into our room but it was locked, figured you must have forgotten you now live with your husband or you didn't want me in our room. I still don't know which you want, but I think you need a little space, so I am giving you space to think. I will be home befor
The night ended without any argument and I was so happy about it, I could relish the thoughts of the perfect dinner without having to think of anything bad about it. We got settled into our room's bed. Min slept on the side that was close to the door while I slept close to the window. When I was in the Lin mansion, I slept in the middle of the bed but I couldn't do that now, I didn't want to make Min uncomfortable and hot. I laid facing the ceiling, smiling at the memory of dinner. "Are you awake?" min asked. I kept quiet waiting to decide if I was hearing things or he really spoke to me, but he didn't say anything else. I stood up and checked on him, his eyes were close and he looked so peaceful. His long lashes laid resting on his under eye. 'He must be really sleepy,' I thought, but before I could return to my position, he rose up and I went flying to the ground. I laid on the rug with my legs on the bed. "Ouch!" I groaned. Min looked at me and smiled. "That hurt," I whimpered
Why was he being so difficult? All he had to do was take the toothpaste and squeeze the bottom. "It makes it easier in the long run," I replied to his opinion of thinking of thinking it didn't matter. "No, when squeezing from the middle stops working, one simple squeeze at the bottom and you're good to go," he argued. "No it doesn't," I argued. I dragged the paste from Min to prove my point but I felt my towel loosen around my chest and before I could react it was seated at my legs and I was naked in front of Min. "You are right, squeeze from the bottom," he said and excused himself from the bathroom. I stood there flustered. I blinked twice and ben to pick up my towel. I said I wasn't going to argue with Min, I should have kept my words, if I had kept my words, I wouldn't be wrapping my towel around me after it fell in front of him. To think he warned me about moving so freely. How did I forget that I was in a towel. I turned to look at the mirror and slapped more colour into my r
At 4 PM, Agnes left the apartment to hers and I was left to think and prepare for a day at the Lin's firm. I had been to my parent's firm a couple of times but I only went there and actually learnt something when i started law school. The first time I went there was on an excursion to learn about different law firms, we had gone to the three biggest law firms in the country and learnt how the system worked. The second time was for research purpose and the third time was to help with the case that I had solved. There were enough resources and people to assist me, but dad made sure I got my resources myself and made me work alone. It was hard but I had mom who rendered some assistance and answered all the questions I had. But now for the fourth time, I was going there as to work. The thoughts kept me up and happy all evening. I sent Min a text and told him I was ordering dinner. Now he didn't have to worry about dinner or my bad cooking skills. I made rice in the rice cooker but ordere
