Pumpkin was sitting on the edge of my bed with her elbows perched in front of her. Her hands were holding her chin as she stared worriedly at me. One of her legs touched the floor supporting her weight whilst the other one dangled freely. It was obvious that her two legs were perfectly okay.

What the heck is this? Are her legs good now? I thought, looking around.

The setting looked so familiar, making me scan the room intensely. "Home!" I thought and scanned more intensely.

I was in my home at the cabin and my father was at a corner drinking. What the heck? When did I return home and why is Santiago's daughter here with me?

"Pumpkin? You ain't supposed to be here," I tried to speak but my tongue cleaved to the roof of my mouth and I couldn't speak. Panicking, I repeated and this time a mad rush of light flooded my eyes as they blinked open.
