Due to a booking mistake, a French billionaire man who had been arranged to marry someone out of his interest was forced to spend 30 nights on a yacht with a Japanese billionaire woman who had recently lost a fiancé in a shooting incident. Would a spark of true romance be conceivable regardless of the reality that they practically lived in two very different situations? Given the complications that would arise if a forbidden romance began, would their love be worth the risk?
もっと見るAs the sunshine from the slit in the drapes made contact with the diamond stone on that engagement ring, it gleamed. For some reason, the mood in this room seemed really dreary. It's as though the grief — misery had permeated the entire space, from corner to corner.
The ring was worn by Ida Okino Mitsuko, a half-Japanese, half-American actress based in Japan. She secured a contract with a famous firm and has become the most successful actress in her country, making her a well-known billionaire throughout Asia.
Ida possesses practically everything a woman could desire: fortune, fame, attractiveness and a wonderful physique, a strong character and attitude. Her life would have been wonderful if her only love had never departed.
For as they all say, without love, the world is nothing. You may possess all the pleasures in the world if you pay for it, but you can never do the same for love.
A voice from the doorway of this room reverberated through the silence, breaking the ostensibly silent gloom. "You will never move on if you continue to wear it and gaze at it like that," it said.
Ida turned to face the direction of the voice and discovered her father standing inside with a warm smile. "May I come in?" said the elderly man after a soft sigh.
"Of course," Ida responded, placing her hand on her lap as she adjusted her swivel chair to face the armchair where the man would most likely sit. "He was gone too soon, dad," she began.
Ida's father hummed as soon as he sat down, gesturing for the other to continue speaking. This man was completely aware of his failure to be present for Ida at a moment when she sought all the comfort in the world. Her fiancé, Akio, who worked in politics in Japan, was just recently killed in a shooting.
"I know they got the guy responsible for Akio's killing locked away, but I feel like it's not enough," she added, her voice trembling as she poured her feelings out. "That fucking monster shouldn't just spend a lifetime in there, he should endure the same suffering he inflicted on Akio," she said, her words less guarded.
"Ida," the man cautioned, yet calmly. "Stop speaking evil of others," he continued, "justice has served him well, and the fight for Akio ends now."
"You say that because you don't feel the same way I do," Ida stated.
"You know that's not true, Ida," the man muttered, shaking his head. "I, too, lost your mother in an accident."
"Which is a whole different situation."
"Maybe you're right," he said. "But the thing about the world is that you may yell at it all you want, get angry, but it will never return what it has taken."
Ida was speechless because what her father had told her was completely right. It's a hard-to-swallow truth that once you've lost something, all you can do is go on and start over. It's really unfair, but that's the reality; nothing is ever fair.
"I saw something online that I think might help you," the man described.
"I swear to God, dad, if this is just another dating site..." Eda grumbled, tired of her father's ludicrous attempts to help her.
"I did come upon another dating site that seemed to be legitimate—"
"No!" Ida responded firmly. "Aside from every single dude in there being a man-bitch looking for nothing but hookups, most of them are also thieves," she continued. "My friends are constantly the victims of such things, and I am never going to be like them."
"Huh, are they?" the man inquired, completely uninformed that such a thing was occurring. Of course, he had never used a dating website before. And now that he knows about these things, he'll never bother anymore.
"Yes," Ida responded quickly.
"Here this one out then," he replied, only to elicit a sigh from Ida. There's nothing she can do but listen to his next nonsensical idea. "I discovered this special vacation package deal from something called Love-Free Yacht Services," he explained. "And I think it's perfect for you... It's a perfect way for you to unwind and forget things, especially those relating to love." ""I mean, that's why it's called Love-Free, isn't it?" he chuckled.
"That sounds really stupid."
"But it's a real thing, and you can look it up on the internet."
Ida stroked the crown of her head gently, saying, "I think you should take some time off the internet, dad."
Finally, Ida was left alone in peace since her father had an important meeting that needed to be handled right away. Now, it's not like she wanted to keep his company because the man's reasoning is vastly different from hers. Most of the time, they couldn't understand what each other was saying.
Perhaps it's due to the linguistic barrier as well. Tsuyoshi, her father, is a pure-blooded Japanese who only learnt English when he met Ida's mother, the love of his life. But still, there were some concepts he could never fully comprehend, making it difficult for Ida to keep up with him in most conversations.
"That Love-Free thingy can't be true, can it?" Ida wondered as she settled in front of her personal desk. And since her laptop was just sitting there, waiting to be used, she came up with one of the most radical ideas: believing in her father's crap.
"It surely wouldn't hurt to look it up," Ida said to herself, hoping that whatever it was would help her overcome the experience she was currently dealing with.
To her surprise, it was a real thing, and it was something only the wealthiest could acquire. Perhaps that's why it's never actually discussed publicly on social media.
"Thirty days?" Ida inquired, already wary of the possibility. Because, really, aside from sailors and pirates, who would want to drift in the oceans for thirty days? There couldn't possibly be so much to do in such a getaway. Also, the concept of idleness does not sit well with Ida.
"With no internet connection?" she asked, stunned by what she had just read. "Thirty days, no internet connection, completely alone... in the middle of deep oceans," Ida had to repeat several times in order for it to sink in. "What kind of lunatic would desire anything like this?"
And the answer to her query lied around in the other part of the world. Avery Quinton Jacques, a French billionaire and future heir to his father's Solar Power Production Plant, believes that there is so much freedom to be found on the open seas.
"You love me, right?" enquired a woman of color. She was holding a blanket to her chest, which covered her entire naked body. A man with dark, slightly curling hair and unshaved stubble reclined beside her. His features were angular. His eyes are blue, his brows and eyelashes are compact and lavish, his nose and jawline are razor sharp, his lips are bow shaped and somewhat pinkish. He's as attractive and captivating as the devil.
Oh, breathtaking Avery, he is every woman's fantasy.
"Well, I'm supposed to marry you, right?" Avery asked, his voice deep and raspy in the morning. He then sat up, casting a cold gaze at his fiancée. "I suppose that answers your question," he added, before dropping his foot on the floor in search of his slippers.
Vanna, the woman, remained in her position, having become accustomed to Avery's behavior. She was never going to complain about it anyway. And it's because she desires to be his wife, like any woman would.
"Of course, you will have to marry me," Vanna said simply, while witnessing Avery get up and expose his bare back to her from top to bottom.
"Vanna," he said quietly, "I'll be gone for a month."
"Where to?"
"Anyplace I'd be free," Avery replied, his gaze drawn to the distance through the wide and full glass window. Even if he strolled around with not a piece of clothing in front of it, that wouldn't be a problem because he lived in a contemporary cliff-top mansion away from the city and people.
"As long as you return before the wedding date."
"Don't worry," he whispered, "I'll come back." "I just need to live my single life to the fullest first… before anything."

“I'm sorry,” Ida said, and everyone's eyes gasped when they saw her on her knees.“It's my fault, I'm sorry “ She let out the hot tears she had been trying to hold. The family she loves and has been trying to adapt to has been taken away from her by Avery and Vanna.Ida had believed staying in LA would be a good thing, a good place to hide and have peace of mind but Vanna proved her wrong. There's no peace of mind anywhere, instead she will continue to run round the world in fear of Vanna so it's better she face her now or never.Tabitha's eyes widened at Ida's sudden outburst. Little Rory ran to their mom's side as he tried to lift her up but Ida did not bulge at all sobbing silently to herself.“I'm sorry, once again” She apologized, and slowly stood up, and Lora approached Ida, taking her to the couch as she made her sit.“Leave here, leave this country, I don't want to see you again, allow me to mourn my husband and daughter in peace, I want to be in charge of the funeral, and not
All of that was just a hallucination as Ida felt a hand tapping her and she lifted her misty eyes to see Sara staring at her.“The doctor is here,” Ida's neck slowly tilted facing the door as a round of fresh tears escaped from her eyes.“I'm sorry, We lost her, it's only two that survive” The doctor said, and Ida almost lost her balance before Sara and little Rory held her.“Who died?” Sara asked, slowly.“The little girl with a black hair” Ida let out another tear. Rora is alive but she lost her new daughter, Ariel and Jayden is alive too.Lora rushed in immediately, gasping for air to see Ida looking out of space as tears never stopped dropping from her eyes.Ida moved away from Sara and her son as she almost lost her balance when Lora held onto her.She began to reminisce over the incident that happened and remembered the man's warning. “Stay away from him” If not Jayden then it should be Avery. Someone warning her would probably not kill the person he was warning her to stay away
Ida watched as Jayden landed on the floor with Ariel in his bloody arms. Just when she stood up and was about to approach him when a gunshot made her halt. The amusement park scattered at the sound of the gun shot as they all ran for shelter to protect themselves.Sara stopped the twins that were about to run to Jayden.Ida watched as her world came crumbling as liquid dropped from her eyes following it was a loud painful scream.“Jay….. Jayden, a….. Ariel!!!” She screamed again as tears rolled down her eyes, her eyes got clouded with tears within a few seconds.Ariel was shot.Ida starts running as she approaches her new family. “Jayden, Ariel!” She called but got no response from Ariel.“I….. Ida,” He called as blood spluttered from his mouth. She held onto his waist line that was stabbed to stop from bleeding as she cried painfully.“Please don't talk. Sara called the ambulance,” She screamed at her last second sentence, after whispering the first one.Jayden slowly held onto her w
Ida's eyes when she saw Avery standing few steps away from her, staring at her. Her eyes moved from him, and to the twins then realized why they looked familiar to her.The twins are Avery's kids, but why is he in New York."Ida," He called, and Ida snubbed immediately, as she bent facing his kids.Ida stroked their hair gently as she smiled at them. "You are beautiful, and your…..father is here, go and meet him" Ida stated, and entered her car immediately before they could react. She locked the car door, and glanced at the side mirror to see him staring at his car as his kids ran to his arm.Ida doesn't know when tears dropped from her eyes. She wished she could get down from the car, and hug him but she controlled herself as she began to ask herself some question.Where was he when she almost killed herself, where was he when she struggled to give birth in the LDR room, where was he when she lost her mind, her mental health. He was with her, he was Vanna having good moments with her
"In my company, I don't know what she's doing there. Lora,I know a day like this is going to come. That's why I always panic anytime I do not see my babies" Ida stated, and Lora hugged her."Nothing will happen to them. I will put a call on someone to tail her" Her phone rang, and she brought it out to see an incoming call from Jayden.Ida smiled, as she disengaged from the hug. "I will see you later" Ida mumbled smiling"Jayden is calling you" Ida hurried upstairs to her room as she picked his call."Babe, are you home?" Ida heard his sweet voice, and smiled out."Yes, and you?" She asked."I'm home,I just finished tucking Ariel into bed. I'm sorry about today" "No, it's fine, I'm not angry. Such are bound to happen someday " Ida said, smiling as she stared at his handsome face.A video call."Go and bath, and eat. I will call you back later " Ida nodded, smiling. He's so sweet. She took off her clothes, and went to the washroom. Ida had her bathing, and after bathing, she stepp
"Mom, Auntie Sara saved your line as,,,,I have forgotten the word” Rory said.“ It's s-a-v-i-o-u-r” Rora spelt it and Ida chuckled.“ You mean savior” Ida said, she had thought it was a serious issue when they gave her a strict look but now she realized that twins were just pulling her legs.“ Mom pronounce it again,” Rory urged.“ Saviour” Ida pronounced, and the twins nodded as they gave each other a glance.“ What's the meaning??” Rora asked.“ A person who saves someone from danger or difficulty" Idea replied, smiling.“ Ohhhhh” They said in unison and Ida chuckled.“ Kids, I have to go, let me quickly roundup so I can start heading home" Ida said.“ Momma bye,” Rora said.“ I love you” Rory said and she smiled.Ida cut the call and shut down the system, she put her phone in her bag as she arranged her hair. She walked out of her office and went downstairs, she reduced her pace when she saw a familiar face.Vanna Lopez Sanchez.Vanna stopped walking as soon as she sighted Ida, she
"Fornicator"Ida's eyes widened, "What, forni what??""You heard me clearly, single bitch, you are a fornicator, how dare you have an affair with my husband. Are you now after married men?"Ida just stood looking perplexed. Tabitha took the paper from the table, and left. She needed no prophecy to let her know that she needs to give her boss some privacy.Tabitha shut the door, and faced the security guards standing in front of Ida's office."The boss is going to handle it, you can go back to your post" Tabitha stated, and the security guards went back to the lobby. Tabitha glanced at the employees to see them focused on their job. They minded their business.Ida still wonders who's the woman standing in front of her, accusing her of cheating on husband. She's still wonder who's the husband she's talking about and her lil attitude reminded her of Vanna. The madness you constituted five years at the restaurant. She knows Vanna is Avery's wife, and she has kids for him, twins too so she
The next day, Ida sat upright and glanced around as she rubbed her eyes. She went out of the room, and went straight to the twin's room. That's what she used to do everyday. She got inside Aurora's room, and saw no trace of her, she went to Rory's room and saw no trace of him. Her mind already starts thinking something else."Rory, Rora" Ida called as she checked the washroom and saw no one, her heart started beating fast as different thoughts started running through her mind again. She can't bear to lose her beautiful kids, she loves them and is always ready to protect them.Ida rushed downstairs and saw no one, she went to kitchen and heard a loud laugh."My babies" She muttered and ran upstairs, she reached the second living room and saw the twins eating as Sara packed their school bags. Her heart jump in back to it normal position and she sighed heavily"Ida what's running through your mind, why are you getting scared?" She muttered and covered her face. She's thinking like this
"Ariel, don't go," Rora said."Rora you are still gonna see her soon” Jayden said as he opened the car door, Ariel entered the car and waved at the twins."We will talk over the phone," Ida said, blushing slightly at him, and Jayden nodded. He entered the car and drove out, the twins kept waving at the car till it became out of sight."Kids let's go inside" Ida said as held their hands and entered the buildingShe locked the door and a maid approached her." Ma'am I'm done arranging the twins room""Okay, have you prepared dinner?" She asked."Yes ma'am""Okay you can leave, go and rest" Ida stated, and the maid bowed before walking away."Mom…" Rora called, and Ida faced her as she knelt to her level." Darling, do you need anything?"She asked and Rora kissed her cheek smiling." Thank you for today" Rora appreciated, and Ida sniggered, Rory kissed her other cheek and she sniggered again and the kids laughed."Do you like the doll?" Ida asked." No, I don't like it but I love it" Ror
