Sweat and body fluids made them dirty, and she would be embarrassed to go to school with such kind of books.

“Well, they are really not suitable to take to school.” Flipping through the books with an evil smile, Ling Tianyi enjoyed looking at such an ending, which meant the love they made just now was very real.

“It’s your fault. What should I do?” Xia Xiaoluo was very worried.

“What do you think?” Ling Tianyi asked back.

“Then, I won’t go to school; I have no book to use anyway.” She had hated books since her childhood, and she finally found an excuse.

“If you don’t go to school, I’ll be your teacher. Let’s go to the bedroom!” Saying that, Ling Tianyi was about to hold her up.

Xia Xiaoluo pinched his shoulders, “Haven’t you felt tired?”

“No!” Ling Tianyi replied with a smile.

“Humph!” Xia Xiaoluo pouted out her lips.

“Hey! It’s a joke.” He pecked on her lips and her nose, “Write down the name of those books, and I’ll ask someone to buy them for you at once. I promise the new ones will be the same as what the college provided.”

“It’s already eight o’clock at night. Bookstores are closed!” Xia Xiaoluo still hoped she could be exempt from going to school tomorrow.

“In City A, if there’s something I want, stores will open for me. Go and get the names.” He finally let her go.

He went to the bedroom and put on his casual wear, and brought some clothes for her, too. Although she was cuter in the nude, he was worried she would catch a cold. If she should get sick accidentally, she would not be able to perform her duty as his wife, which would be a big loss.

Xia Xiaoluo copied the names of seven books that were messed on an A4 paper and handed it to Ling Tianyi, “The two I marked with stars will be used tomorrow, and the rest can be bought later. Ling Tianyi took a high quality photo of the names on the A4 paper, sent it via MMS and made a call, “Hello, buy these seven books and send them to my apartment in two hours.”

Xia Xiaoluo kept her face straight, but she was mad in her mind. He had eaten her up and said she was “an exhausting little demon”, but she was not the one who wasted time. This man was unreasonable.

Although he buried himself in the emails, he could feel she had nothing to do, so he said to her, “Baby, just now you mentioned you wanted to preview the lessons, didn’t you? Now you can read some books if you’ve got nothing to do.”

“I’m busy, and I want...want...” Xia Xiaoluo couldn’t come up with a thing to do, and she muttered.

Ling Tianyi looked up and squinted at the idiot in front of him, “You want more? You think your husband is made of iron and could not be worn out?”

“I have no books!” Xia Xiaoluo found an excuse immediately.

“Then go to practice your handwriting. Your ugly handwriting is just like earthworms. It will lose my face.” He dragged her to the study, let her sit by his side, and downloaded and printed several pages of a copybook for her.

“Copy these and don’t be lazy. I’ll check your practice after a while.” Ling Tianyi threw the printed papers to Xia Xiaoluo with several pieces of blank A4 paper.

Xia Xiaoluo felt very depressed, but she didn’t dare to say no. All she could do was taking up a pen and doing the practice.

After a mail was done, Ling Tianyi squinted at the little girl by his side, “Idiot, who practice handwriting with a gel ink pen? Take a fountain pen.”

“I don’t have a fountain pen, and I’ve never used one. I don’t feel like adding ink.” Xia Xiaoluo said.

Ling Tianyi searched in his drawer and took out a nice box, “This is yours. You must use this pen when you practice your handwriting later. If you dare to use a gel pen, I’ll beat your palm with this steel ruler whenever I see you use it.”

“There’s no ink!” Xia Xiaoluo looked at that Parker Pen, and it seemed that it was brand new.

“Here you are. I don’t have to teach you how to add ink, right?” Ling Tianyi said with an upset tone and passed her a bottle of Parker’s standard black ink.

“I can do that. No need to teach me!” She began to add the ink slowly, which made Ling Tianyi very anxious, “Finish six pages tonight. If you don’t finish it, you’re not allowed to sleep.”

“Ah! Too many! You’re not my teacher.” Xia Xiaoluo started to rebel. She didn’t know when she could finish all the six pages at her tortoise-speed.

“I’m not your teacher, but your husband. My order is beyond your teacher’s requests. There’s no room for negotiation!” After that, Ling Tianyi went back to deal with his emails, for he had much work to do that night.

Xia Xiaoluo blamed him a thousand times in her mind but she eventually took the pen and copied the characters one by one.

After half an hour, her hand was sour, but she just finished half of a page. She stole a look at Ling Tianyi, who was busy with his work.

“Why are you looking at me? You didn’t know I’m handsome until today? What are you waiting for? If you don’t finish it, you can’t sleep tonight. That’s my order.” He said without looking up.

Xia Xiaoluo frowned. She did not want to write anymore. She simply got closer to him and kissed his cheek, and said with a coquetry look, “My husband is handsome, but you’re too tired working that hard. How about some night snack I cook for my master husband? Do you want some sweet dumplings, or white fungus broth? How about some handmade dumplings?”

“Fine. I do feel hungry. I’d like to have all you mentioned just now!” He didn’t decline, and Xia Xiaoluo felt happy at once: she could do anything as long as she didn’t need to write and study.

She was about to run to the kitchen when Ling Tianyi said at her back, “After the night snack, you need to be back and practice your handwriting. If you don’t finish it, you can’t sleep tonight.”

“You! You bully me!” She stood still at the door of the study, neither going to the kitchen, nor getting back for the practice.

“How do I bully you? You wanted to cook the night snack. I didn’t force you.” Ling Tianyi stood up and went to her front. He had guessed her mind, and he did like her reaching out to him and her kisses. However, he couldn’t indulge her dislike of study.

“What’s your choice? Anyway, you must cook the night snack and practice the handwriting. Certainly, if you’re not willing to cook the snack, I don’t mind to take you as an alternative dessert.” He said in a contemplating manner, and he exhaled a warm breath near her ear.

“I’ll cook the snack, but just some sweet dumplings. It’s not good to eat much at night.” She ran to the kitchen angrily and made a bowl of quick-frozen sweet dumplings fast, bringing it to Ling Tianyi and sitting back to practice her handwriting.

Ling Tianyi enjoyed it with bantering, “Baby, your snack tonight is not that good. Don’t you call yourself a great chef? This can’t match your skill.”

Xia Xiaoluo ignored him and buried herself into the practice, and she suddenly came up with an excellent plan.

“Why are you smirking? You have come up with some lousy ideas, haven’t you?” Seeing her smirking, Ling Tianyi had guessed something.

“No, absolutely not!” Xia Xiaoluo denied.

“Ding dong! Ding dong!” The doorbell rang. Ling Tianyi went to the door by himself, and when he returned to the study, he had a stack of books in his hand.

“Baby, I’ve told you, there’s no excuse to be lazy. After the handwriting practice, you need to preview tomorrow’s lessons.” Ling Tianyi passed the new books to Xia Xiaoluo.
