Don't You Remember Me?

Just before Hai Yin wants to say something, there is a knocking sound on the door, and it slides open by Andy Lu. He walks toward Hai Rin slowly as he sees that she lean on her mother.

Hai Rin turns her head around and looks at the man who walks toward her. She raises her eyebrow a little asking him what the matter is?

"Madam, Master is on the phone. He said that he called your phone, but it was turned off." Andy Lu whispers in her ear to let her know the reason he had to come into the room.

She nods her head and took the phone that Andy Lu handed to her. She looked at her mother and said gently.

"Mama, I need to take this call. It won't take long. I promise you, okay?" she smiles and walks away from the room.

Andy Lu, who just want to follow Hai Rin, was dumbfounded when suddenly Hai Rin's mother grabs his arm softly.

He turns his head and facing Hai Yin with a smile. "Yes, Ma'am?" he asked nicely.

"Ma'am? Honey, don't you remember me? I am your Yinyin... Rinrin said, you were busy, but what are you doing here? Ah! I know! You must be missing me so much, aren't you?" she smiles lovingly and wants to get off from her bed. She then hugs Andy Lu and her eyes tearing up bit by bit.

With a trembling voice, she said. "Why did you leave me for so long? Do you know how much I miss you? I dream about you almost every day. They all said that you already die, but I don't believe it. Honey, our daughter, has been growing into a fine woman. She takes good care of me. I raised her with all my might. You must've been proud of me, right? Now that you already back home, can we start a new life? I don't want to stay here any longer. Please..bring me back home." Hai Yin starts wailing and sobbing.

Andy Lu's a bit startled by what happened to him. He couldn't just push her and can't even move an inch either. He tries to find a better solution with the right word to put to her.

"Emm... I am sorry. Yes, she's grown up into a fine woman, and you did do a good job all this time." He said carefully to not hurt the old woman's heart.

"Really??" Hai Yin's eyes turn into a shining star when she heard Andy compliment her. In her mind, she thought it was her husband, who is praising her.

Andy nodded. He then led Hai Yin into her bed and sat her down back. He sits at a chair beside Hai Yin's bed and waiting for Hai Rin to come back. While Hai Yin was just staring at Andy Lu's face with a loving expression.

Meanwhile, in the corridor, Hai Rin put the phone on her ear.

"Yes? Is there anything important that you need to tell me, Richard?" she ask politely. She was raised to be polite whenever she speaks to another person. That's how her grandmother taught her since she was little.

"Erm, no. I was just checking on you. What are you doing right now?" Richard asks back. He actually was just landed at the Imperial city airport.

"I'm visiting my mother at the hospital."

"Hm? I thought it was your grandmother who is in the hospital. Am I mistaken?"

"No, you're not. Both my grandmother and my mother are admitted to the hospital. But my mother in another different hospital." She was explaining the situation to him.

"So, are you alright? How's the operation?"

"Yeah, I'm alright. The surgery went well too. Thanks to you."

"Hm, okay. Don't forget to settle your things before you move out. If you want, I can find a place for your family around this city. I can assign a few doctors and nurses to take care of them too." He offered her a serious voice.

"Thanks, but no thanks. The money you gave me is enough for me to settle this matter on my own. I'll help you out for another 5 years to pay for your kindness, Richard."

"..okay... I'll see you later." He said before ending the call.

A few moments later, she comes back to her mother's room. She notices her mother's face brightly stared at Andy Lu's. She then looks at Andy Lu, who was looking at her like asking for help expression on his face.

"Mama... You look so happy. Is there anything that makes you this happy?" she said gently and walk to her mother.

"Rinrin! Your papa is so handsome, isn't he? He doesn't change at all! Just like when he was young, right?" she chuckles when she said that. Her face also blushes a little. Like someone's struck with love right now.

When Hai Rin heard this, she suddenly let out her soft laugh. Andy Lu, who was staring at her, was stunned for a moment. He never knew that Hai Rin has a cute dimple in both of her cheeks. She looks beautiful when she was smiling.

"Really? I am sure papa is a very handsome man, mama. I can guarantee it." She patted her mother's shoulder. When Andy Lu heard this, his heart skips a bit, and he blushes a little.

After her mother asleep, they went out of the room and walk together to the car park.

Inside the car, Hai Rin asks Andy. "Hey, where are you staying at tonight?" she wants to ask this question from the moment they met but haven't had the chance.

"I'll try to find any near hotel to your house later." He said while focused on his driving.

"Ermm...Actually, Andy, I live in a village area. So you won't find any hotel or motel around there. At least it was 40 minutes away from my house to the nearest hotel. So, if you don't mind, you can stay at my home for temporary." She said casually.
