Chapter: Chapter 5: Autumn and AsherThe sun had already set and the chill of the fall night was making Autumn’s teeth chatter. Asher took off his cardigan and draped it over her shoulders. She had on a long sleeve top but it was too thin to keep her warm. “Are you ready to go home?” He asked her. She slightly frowned not wanting to leave the beautiful view but smiled when she realized he referred to his place as their home “home” she repeated. They both got back on his motorcycle and started heading back in the direction of their house. It was nearing 9:30pm and the two of them were growing tired. They pulled up to the house and he helped her down off the bike and they both entered the house together hand in hand. She was still shivering from the chill of the night. He chuckled at how cute he thought she was. He scooped her up bridal style and carried her across the floor and into the bedroom where he laid her down on the bed. He picked up her foot unlacing and pulling off one shoe and then repeating with the other. She

Chapter: Chapter 4: new beginningsAsher took Autumn’s hand in his. He gently rubbed her thumb with his on. “What’re you thinking about?” He asked her. “Just how beautiful this place is and how happy I am to be standing here with you” she turned her head to look at him. “What’s on your mind Asher?” She was caught up looking at his puzzled face. When he didn’t respond but just looked away she asked “is everything okay?”. He dropped her hand “I kidnapped you a few days ago. Ruined your life. And here you are acting like nothing happened “. She shrugged her shoulders “everything happens for a reason”. He didn’t want to question her but he wasn’t fully sure if he believed her. It could be that he was her last resort being as she lost completely everything, or maybe she really did have feelings for him still and due to them spending time together they were resurfacing. He didn’t want to ruin what may come from this so he remained quiet on the topic and only gave her a nod. “Are you hungry?” He asked. “I’m starving!” She bea

Chapter: Chapter 3: TogetherAsher felt like he hadn’t slept in days. He lifted himself up out of the dining chair and crossed the room entering the living area and flopped down on his rarely used leather sectional. He pulled a throw blanket down off the back of the couch and draped it over himself hoping to fall into a deep sleep. He didn’t want to leave Autumn alone very long so he only planned on taking a couple hour nap. FLASHBACK (9 years ago)“I love you” she placed her hand in his as she watched his eyes light up “I’ve waited so long to hear you say that to me. I love you too” he kissed the back of her hand. PRESENT DAYHis eyes shot opened and he sat up rubbing them. It was now getting dark outside and he wondered how long he had slept for. Eight thirty-seven. He’s been asleep about five hours. He needed to go check on Autumn. Back on his motorcycle he headed down the road and took a left on a dirt path leading towards the woods and meadow. He entered the tent leading to the bunker where she was being ke

Chapter: Chapter 2: Asher It had been exactly 24 hours since he had found Autumn in the meadow they met in years ago. She was still so beautiful. She looked older and like the weight of the world was on her shoulders. He could tell by the bags under her eyes that she wasn’t sleeping much. Her body was much more frail than he remembered. But she was still perfect to him and all he ever wanted. He left Autumn with her hands chained behind her back to the ground in a room in the underground bunker he’d spent building over the last two years. He put up a tent over the entry way to close off any suspicion of what may be below. He had food stored, plenty of water, a makeshift bathroom, two separate rooms made from wood and drywall; one containing a mattress, a plastic storage bin full of clothing, and a battery powered lamp, in the hallway between two rooms he kept food and water, and in the second room he had a bucket for bathroom use, a bucket for washing, and some bottles of pills. He was proud of his building sk

Chapter: Chapter 1: Autumn The alarm clock that sat on the bedside table shook violently as Autumn Banks’s room filled with an annoying buzz. She wasn't ready to wake up. It was 6 am and her late night of studying last minute kept her awake until after 2am. It was an important day for her at Danville Academy. Today she was to present to 250 other students her reason behind why she was going into child psychology. She put a lot of time and effort into this paper and her grade would go towards over half of her final grade. She needed at least a 90% in order to make graduation. She struggled to keep herself from throwing up but the more she thought about her presentation, the worse her nerves got. Her professor was unusually hard on her. Constantly pushing for her very best. Only because Professor Pyke knew that Autumn had what it took to be an incredible psychiatrist, she just didn't have enough confidence and failed at really applying herself. ……..After emptying the barely any contents of her stomach into th
