Chapter: Chapter 8: KNIGHTSIt wasn’t me that was causing this blinding light. My father won’t do such thing as well. Could it be the light mage that I fought with, a while ago? Soon after, the light started to diminish and our vision is slowly going back to normal. Everyone is looking around, trying to figure out what was going on and who just caused what happened a few seconds ago. “IT’S THE LIGHT SPIRIT!” someone from the crowd, shouted. Everyone gasped and started whispering with one another. What did he say it was again? The spirit? The light spirit? I looked around to see what the man was saying. I noticed everyone looking at… me. No! They are looking… behind me? I turned around only to be blinded by so much light, once more. After quiet some time, my eyes got used to the light, I slowly opened my eyes and saw a… lady? She was floating on the ground wearing a long white dress. She has really fair skin and also really beautiful. Is she really

Chapter: CHAPTER 7.3: GOOD JOBThe Knights Leader made a barrier around the battle area to protect the audiences from possible spells that might cross the imaginary boundary. “Everyone ready?” the exam master asked but no one answered but they all looked ready. I can feel a few magic scattered around the area. Isn’t that cheating, they are all starting even though the exam master hasn’t formally started the battle yet. Well, I guess in a real battle, the enemy would never wait for the time to start, they would attack whenever they can. “The time limit is thirty minutes. Killing is prohibited…”, thirty minutes? Isn’t that too short? “Timer starts… NOW!” as I expected, the magic that the other mages prepared even before the time starts started to explode, everyone was avoiding it. A few seconds after, the ground started to turn into lava. I tried finding Aiden, he’s the only fire mage in here, thi

Chapter: Chapter 7.2: GOOD JOBThat was weird. Aiden left after saying those… well… words. Mages from different places started to arrive the arena. There are reserved seats for mages that are member of the royal families so I know that my parents aren’t here yet. I’m sure they’ll be in front.“Are you ready?” I looked at Aeolous who’s with his friends and Esco at the back. I sighed deeply before answering. “Yes” I trained so hard ever since I was little so I am pretty confident with my magic but I still feel nervous. This is the real deal, confidence alone would not assure me of my victory. I need to be smart and agile. I am my father’s daughter, a lot of people expect great thing from me and its making my stomach churn in nervousness.“So are we. Let’s see each other on the field. Good luck!” Aeolous was smiling as he said each word but

Chapter: CHAPTER 7: GOOD JOB “Sit down” my father calmly said after he summoned me to his office. I know what he wants to talk about. “I heard that you used your money to provide shelter for the less fortunate trainees”. His elbows are on the table and his fingers are intertwined while looking at me. I tried my hardest to look straight back at him. I need to stand with my decision, helping is the only thing I am free to do. I must stand firm. “GOOD JOB” although father said that monotonously, I can’t help but be surprise. Good job? He’s not mad? I mean, I’m happy that he’s not mad. I just didn’t expect him not to be mad. “I am honestly displeased that you wasted a few mags on those low-lives who mostly did not make it to the exam, but I admit that what you have done puts you into a better place. If you were to be the next leader of this kingdom, you must have your people’s reliance. You’ll benefit from this. Good jo

Chapter: CHAPTER 6: ONE-STEP CLOSEROn the third day of training, we were then put to more physical training like holding one position for hours while carrying a lot of heavy materials. Good thing I did not gain bulky muscle. They look disgusting for me. One thing I like about Aeolous is that he does not have bulky muscles, to me he was visually pleasing to the eyes.On the fourth day, it was a never-ending magic training. The exam master made use our magic to withstand a magic attack, we were not allowed to attack but only defend. All of us were defending our own lives while the Knights do everything they can to make our defenses wither. On the fifth day, the arena was field with water, the water reached until below my belly button, and we had to run around the arena continuously. Might I just tell you that it was grueling. Everyday we would go back to the dormitory completely forgetting to eat. We’re so tired that even eating is such a bothe

Chapter: CHAPTER 5: MAGIC BALLI woke up late at night. Its already three in the morning. The supposedly busy streets were silent. I drank a cup of water before going inside the bathroom. I feel so dirty because of the dried sweat, I slept as soon as I arrived to my dormitory, earlier. I wasn’t able to clean myself up so I’m doing it now. I took a long bath and made sure I scrub all the dirt off of my body. I went out wearing only my bath robe. I went to my closet and picked proper clothes I can wear outside. In the end, I decided for a black denim short that has a lace design on both sides, a white oversized long sleeved sweat shirt with hoodie, a cool black rubber shoes and a black cap. I checked myself in front of the full-length mirror on one of my closet doors before getting my wallet, just in case I need it. Then I went out.I looked at the hallway to the elevator, no light is lit so it was dark. Good thing my power is light. I made my power lit the lights on the hallway. I
