The shadow time

On the first day at University, I feel like sunshine flooded in my soul but little darkness inside my heart slowly warping me…

Yeah! I am happy, but not as well. In actuality, I want to study fashion designer but as for my mom wish I choose to study chemistry…

As long as she is happy, it’s ok for me. If she chooses something for me, I think it’s a better choice for me…

I was walking freely in the school corridor. Everything was new and exciting here. Suddenly, someone called me ‘Hey’ from my back. It sounds familiar voice so I turn back. Someone was waving her hands at me…

She runs towards me, “Ru Ru?” she pointed fingers with a joyful smile face and asked me, “aren’t you?”

“Yes… and you?” I raise my eyebrows with a slow smile. I feel so confused…

“You… forget me?” she shrieked, she sounds thin and painful but suddenly, she slaps on my shoulder and sang, “Du… Du… Du… Durudu… our name has RU, I am your friend diru”, she jumped, raise her right eyebrow and blinked her eyes…

Diru (Dayana), a girl with kind, a strong and funny personality who loves to paint, photography and playing instruments. She is my school best friend but because of some reason; she had to move out of the city with her parents. We sang that song as a symbol of our friendship… 

Joy engulfed me, a big smile form on my face, “Diru”, I shout, jumped and hugs her, “How are you?, Why are you here?” I asked…

“Take a breath,” she said and offer me a water bottle. “I am here to study chemistry and I know… that you are here from Auntie,” she said with a warm smile…

We walk together towards our classroom. We share our childhood memories… Suddenly; she received a message. She stares at her phone. Her face glows and a warm smile forms on her face.

“Let’s go, let’s go”, she rushed, grips my hands then pulls me with her and started running…

“What’s going on? Where we are going?”, I asked with curiosity… I was so confused, I tried to stop her but she didn’t stop nor answered me, “Just follow me,” she said…

After some step, we arrived near a basketball court, some boys are playing there, Girls are cheering them.

“Wait”, She said, her eyes were searching for someone. “Look! He came”, she pointed a finger towards someone. “Sam! Sam! Sam!”, she shouts and cheers for him, lifting her hands in the air…

“Who is he?”, I asked her… She lifts my hand in the air and jumped, “Yey! Sam, you are best”…

“His name is Sam, 22 yrs popular rich, handsome basketball player and A-level senior student… Every girl’s dream boy and crush… His silky brown hair, forestry green eyes and smoky voice make girls mad for him,” She explains with a slow smile…

“Aww, so he is your crush,” I mocked her… I can see her blushing, shy face and a glorious smile on her face…

“Crush?…. Nah… I am in love with him and going to confess him,” she was so dedicated, her eyes are full of love and affection…

“Aha! Good luck”, I raise my head, tap into her shoulder, “I am with you”, I cheered her up…

She tightened her muscles, set her jew with shiny eyes, she said, “Let’s go”… I crossed my fingers to cheer her… she blinks her eyes…

“Sam”, She called him… He turns back. Girls are standing surrounding him. He was indeed handsome but seems rude and moody…

She slowly steps forward… her face was turning red and her hands are shaking… I can feel her nervousness…

“I… I”, She faces difficulty to say any words… She was panicked and started searching for something in her bag… She picked some cookies and sighed, “I cooked them for you”…

He takes cookies from her. Her face shines like moonlight with a sweet smooth smile, but he threw cookies away and said, “Garbage”… He steps forward…

his behaviour made eclipse on her moonlight face… her face becomes dark and pale, she nodded her head down…

“hey,” I shout. Anger sweeps over my vein. I feel like my anger will burn everything… I stepped forward… Diru holds my arm, shaking her head, trying to stop me but I can’t… “Pick them up” I pointed my finger towards the cookies and ordered him…

He turns around and moves forward… He pretends like he didn’t listen to me or he just ignores me… 

I moved in front of him and block his way… I said, “Are u deaf? I said to pick them up”… Our eyes were combatting with each other… 

He smiles, steps towards the cookie… He stomped his lag on the cookie and trampled them, He muttered “Useless”…. A single drop of teardrops through diru cheek…she wipes her tear and runs away…

My anger was about to explore. “who do you think you are? Live in reality, you are no one, just a vulgar person,” I scolded. I opened my water bottle and smashed water in his face and I said, “taste it, you deserve it,”…
