I stared at myself in the floor length mirror in my room and nodded in approval.

"I look great," I said, smiling and nodding in approval at the same time.

Today was my best friend Hailey's birthday party and I was going to be attending it. At first I hadn't wanted to, given that all my days were always filled with work and nothing but work, but now I was going because Hailey had made it compulsory for me to attend it.

And since I didn't want to disappoint my best friend, I started making plans to go since last week and now, I was all dressed and ready to go. I took one final look at myself from head to toe, giving a final nod of approval at the outfit I had picked out.

I was wearing a floor length silver Versace dress that had a lot of sequins on it. Those sequins glittered wonderfully as they caught the light and I twirled a bit, exposing a bit of my inner thighs since the dress featured a thigh high slit. It was a risky but beautiful dress and it made me to love it all the more because it accentuated my beautiful and curvy figure.

I paired the dress with a pair of black Manolo Blahnik heels which was four inches high and a silver Chanel purse. I opted for a light and subtle makeup, and I loved the way it turned out. The smokey eye makeup made my blue eyes pop and my lips had a light maroon sheen to it. I was putting on small silver dome earrings and a matching silver chain.

My hair was pulled up and twisted into a simple but sleek updo, making my cheekbones highlighted in a very nice way. I was really beautiful and I knew it. I didn't really get many chances to dress up and go out, but now that I did, I wanted to make the most out of it.

Then I turned around, faced the bed and picked up my purse, preparing to go out of my room and head to the venue of the birthday party.

As I placed my hand on the door knob, something washed over me and suddenly, I just wanted to pull off my clothes and take shoes off, wipe my makeup off, take my hair down and head to my office to work because I really had a ton of work to do.

I was the daughter and only child of the Alpha of the Coleman Pack and my name was Sienna Coleman. As I said earlier, I didn't really get a chance to go out and have fun and that was because my days were always filled with work.

As the daughter of the Alpha, I had a lot of duties to do in the pack and I made sure that I carried out those duties dilligently. Everyone in the pack knew me as a good person and they accorded me the respect I deserved. They honored me and in turn, I honored them back.

I was a workaholic and I was very proud of it, and because of that, I didn't have a social life. But I wasn't bothered by it because I found solace and fulfillment in my work.

But after a moment, I brushed the feeling that came over me. I had already dressed up for this birthday party and I was determined to go and have fun there. Besides, I had already promised Hailey that I would be there and I knew that she would be mad at me if I didn't fulfill my promise.

And with that, I turned the door knob and stepped out of my room, closing the door behind me. I was now in the living room of my suite so I took quick steps, crossing the expanse of the living room and going out through the main door of my suite.

My suite was very lavish and I had that privilege because I was the Alpha's daughter. But that didn't mean that I hadn't earned it. I had worked my ass off in the position and proved myself, so I deserved every good thing that came my way.

I made my way through the mansion which me, my dad and other people stayed in. It was not a general pack house like the one which some packs had, but it was not a private family house either. It was just in between.

I walked out of the main house and walked straight into the garage, taking out my car remote and unlocking it. Then I got into my sleek black car and started the engine. It was a very expensive Audi sports car, not definitely feminine but I just loved the comfort and protection I felt while I was on it.

Then I peeled out of the garage, driving in a safe but confident manner. I edged into the highway and started to drive in the direction of the venue where the party was being held.

I was definitely going to arrive there some minutes late, but I knew that Hailey wouldn't mind because she just wanted me to be there to celebrate her special day with her.

I stepped out of my car confidently, slapping a 'don't mess with me' smile on my face. I was very beautiful, and I was well aware of that so I knew that guys would try to hit on me, but I was trying to avoid that entirely.

I knew I was dressed attractively but that didn't mean that they had to come on to me. I was dressed solely for my own benefit so they didn't have to come to me and try to charm me with their cheap words, while expecting me to fall for them.

I was the Alpha's daughter and everyone wanted to get in my bed, either just for the thrill of it or just because they wanted to get a favor from my father through me. Basically, they just wanted to manipulate me and benefit from it, and I would never allow it. Not on my life.

I locked my car, put my keys into my purse and started my walk into the venue of the birthday party. As I walked in, all eyes immediately turned to me, and I could sense their emotions. There were lustful gazes, envious gazes, admiring gazes, plain gazes, among all others.

But I ignored all of those and instead, I focused on the interior of the hall. It was a very large hall in a very big and expensive hotel which was used by the elites in our society.

The hall had been decorated beautifully, with swirls of beige and pastel all over the place and beautiful lights everywhere. The whole place was arranged professionally with well laid tables set out, and a very big dancing floor that would be in use later on in the party when everyone had had a drink or two and gotten loose.

Before I could focus more on the interior of the hall, a voice made me to stop what I was doing.

"Sienna!" someone exclaimed, making me to turn around and face the direction that the voice came from.

When I saw that it was my best friend, Hailey, my previously stoic face broke out in a very wide smile, mirroring the one on her face. She crossed the last of the distance between us and threw her arms around me, pulling me into a very tight but comforting hug.

I threw my arms around her too, pulled her close and breathed in her scent. I had really missed her since it had been a while that we had seen each other because I was always occupied with work. And it was as though we were thinking about the same thing because her next words reflected that.

"I have really missed you, Sienna," she said, pulling back and releasing me from her hold.

"I have missed you too," I replied with the smile still on my face.

She appraised me carefully, looking me over with approval in her eyes. "I'm glad to see that you haven't forgotten how to clean up for a night out seeing as you spend all your days in your office, working your bones off. You look really good." Then she winked at me.

"As do you," I said. "I like your outfit."

And I really did. She was putting on a very beautiful strapless black dress with a sweetheart neckline and a very low cut back which accentuated her voluptuous figure. She had on a pure gold choker with matching earrings and a gold colored purse. On her feet were a pair of Loboutin heels that were six feet high. The birthday girl was living it up and I was really glad to see that.

"Thank you for the wonderful birthday present. I know I have said this over the phone, but I can't help but to still say it to you in person," Hailey said.

Earlier today, I sent a delivery man over to her house to deliver a package to her which contained a bouquet of flowers, some designer clothing and tickets for a flight to an all expenses paid vacation in Ibiza, Spain. It wasn't really anything because she did things like that on my own birthdays too and she had always been a very good friend to me.

"Come on, don't be like this. It's my pleasure." I frowned slightly in a joking manner, trying to show her that I wasn't too pleased with her thanking me over and over.

She seemed to get the hint as she smiled, pulling me in for another hug before we moved to our special table to wine and dine.

Almost an hour later, the guests of Hailey's birthday party had finished dining, including both of us. Everyone was now making small conversation in their respective tables, and that was what me and Hailey were doing, while some were already dancing on the large space provided just for that.

We talked, moving from topic to topic as we caught up on each other's lives. We also talked about the people we knew and while we were talking about that, she asked about my dad.

"Well, he is fine. He just wants me to find my mate quickly, go through the rites and ceremonies, and take over the leadership of the pack. That's all he is focused on now, though that's not stopping him from still carrying out his duties. I love him but he gets overbearing at times when we talk about it. I just wish he would leave the issue alone."

“Don't worry, Sienna, you will find your mate when it's time," she said, comforting me and I nodded, smiling at her in gratitude for her support.

But just as I was about to reply to her, something strange happened. A strange but very alluring scent flitted into my nostrils, and I couldn't help but pause and let it wash over me. It was very delicious and pleasing as it serenaded me, and I couldn't help but wonder what it was.

Before I could wonder more, a voice in my mind spoke to me urgently. "Mate! Mate! Mate!" the voice chanted over and over in my mind.

That was when I realized that my normally silent wolf was speaking to me and she was doing it with ecstasy. Then the import of her words dawned on me and I took on the full meaning of the scent that was still serenading me pleasantly.

I had found my mate.
