Cold Revenge

Walking down the street wearing a jumpsuit with black and white stripes with a white running shoes. It was dark and people were not in sight. The street light illuminated the dark street a little. I checked my stomach and saw that a part was swollen. I might have broken a rib or something.

I had a plan to escape prison before they kill me. That has been their plan from the beginning. Eliminating me has always been thier priority and my escape plan worked well or better still someone helped me escape this hell I was kept in.

In prison even mafias and gang leaders know each other well. We knew each other faces and we have special ability of sensing when something is wrong or when a person is in danger.

I was in the toilet when I was getting beat up by some of the gang members whom they set me up with. Only God knows what they must have been promised just so to get rid of me. We suffered the same fate and they are beating me up for their selfish reasons. The warders came to seperate us and I was taken into solidarity. I sat in a small,cold dark room for hours until the door was open and i was pushed out of the prison gates. It was surprising but it's none of my business. Maybe its another plan to finish me. I held my chest which hurts so badly. Blood stained my clothes and my face and my steps were slow and careful. I continued walking in the street to God knows where.

No one was in sight and I had a little bit of fear in me. No gun,no weapons was with me except from my clenched fist,I felt vulnerable.

Soon,I heard the screeching of a van.

"They are here. They are here." I said to myself. My legs felt weak but I carried them as fast as I could but there was no way I could be faster than a van. The van sped past me and stopped right in front of me. The door opened and a man in black suit came down. His hair was black and long and he packed it and his suit looked expensive. I began to breath heavily and held my chest. My heart was beating abnormally faster and my head was thinking of ways to escape.

He adjusted his tie and smiled at me before more men came down from the van. I was grabbed aggressively into the van that I bumped my head and lost consciousness.

"How dare you do this to him? Do you know what he means to me?" I heard a very husky voice from far away.

I was trying to open my eyes by batting my eyes lashes several times but I felt weak. I finally opened my eyes and the first thing I saw was the gigantic chandelier which brightened the whole place. The bed I was laid on was soft as hell and I felt it was sucking me in.

"He's awake. Angelo is awake." A man who looked like he was in his late fifties came to me. Part of his hair was grey while the other half was black. His eyes looked sharp though and he had a scar under his left eye. His skin was tan and he looked really handsome and neat.

"Who are you?" I tried to stand up but I couldn't.

"Don't stand. Just rest." He said and I laid down back. He looked at me with concern and pity which I hated the most. I hate it when people gave me that pitiful look.

To my greatest surprise,I looked back at him and I realized he was the boss of one of the deadliest mafia gangs in Italy. The Silicon's so as they call themselves.

Infact,he was the most feared and scary of them all. He pities no one and kills anyone who crosses path with him. He is Antonio Lorenzo. Antonio is standing right before me,staring right into my soul and I'm here lying like a vegetable on the bed.

"What do you want from me boss? I haven't done anything to you. I haven't crossed your path boss." I begged even before death came knocking on my door.

"What do you mean? I'm not going to hurt you." He said and he cupped my checks which surprised me. A mobster,a don cupping my checks. "I'm so dead." I muttered.

I wanted to ask him more questions or better still beg for my release but another man in suit walked in and bowed.

"They are here sir." The strange man announced.

Antonio sniffed and looked at me.

"I'll be back soon. Please take care of him and do whatever he wants." He ordered and left. He used a walking stick which aided his walking.

He was an anonymous leader and I was lucky to see him when I followed my former boss for a meeting but he wasn't using a walking stick then.

I turned to my left and there was a doctor in a white shirt and black trouser and a white lab coat with five other nurses standing above me. All these treatment for me. "Something is fishy. I must have something Antonio needs." I said to myself.

"How are you feeling sir?" The doctor asked.

"I'm having mild pains here." I opened my shirt which has been changed into something more fancy and expensive even the texture of the cloth speaks for it. I pointed at my ribs.

"It would reduce soon. I've given you pain killers to reduce the pain and I've given sir Antonio the drugs you need to take." He said and i nodded.

"Why would he give sir Antonio the drugs I'll use?" I asked myself.

The doctor and the nurses packed their equipments and left. Immediately the door got closed,I tried to stand up and find a way to escape but some women in uniform walking in with a tray and stopped in front of my bed.

"Good morning sir. We've brought you breakfast." An old woman who seems like their head spoke and they all bowed.

I was served bread and hot tea. My stomatch grumbled at the sight of this.

They all stood in front of me and it felt awkward to eat in front of them.

"If you want us to leave,you can just say sir." The old woman spoke again and I nodded.

"It would be nice if you can leave me alone." I smiled so I wouldn't sound rude.

They all bowed and left. I must have a kind of power over them for them to be bowing to me and calling me sir. It felt good but I don't feel comfortable staying here. It feels like my days are numbered staying in here.

I struggled to stand up to check the outside from the window by holding my stomach and taking one step at a time but the room was located upstairs. It would be impossible for me to jump down. The compund was huge and beautiful and I could see several bodyguards in their black shiny black suit with thier guns in their arms.

"This is a death game. I just escaped death and I'm in one. What if my former boss asked Antonio to get rid of me?" I asked myself.

I opened the door slowly and there were bodyguards standing outside. They turned when i opened the door.

"Are you okay sir? Do you need any help? You could have called us." One of them spoke while the other walked me back to the bed. I laid down back and decided to risk it. I need to know why I'm here and why I'm getting a preferential treatment.

"Where is Antonio? I need to see him." I said and they both looked at each other before answering me.

"We'd get him for you sir." One of them said and they both left together.

I felt my heart pounding very fast. I hoped I haven't passed my boundaries. I just want to know whether I'm dead meat or I'm going to be kept alive.
