Heidi sat on the dining table, playing with her food, jabbing the knife at the bread toast in front of her.

Sitting across from her was Isla whose sad eyes mirrored the feeling in Heidi's heart.

Not only was Heidi sad, but she was also confused and mad.

“Won't you eat your food, Madam?” Mira urged her gently. “Please eat the food. It's good for your health.”

Heidi pushed the plate of food away instead.

“I understand you're angry, Madam. But-”

“What are you hiding from me, Mira? Do you know where Lucas is? Did he tell you not to tell me?”

Lucas was acting strange again.

What Heidi feared was the man playing with her feelings. What if he'd lied to her?

What if he was currently in the Harrisons Mansion and Tracy was still there?

He didn't return last night. He spent the whole day yesterday outside, and didn't even pick up anyone's call.
