Disregarding the other guests in the room, I approached my brother, my gaze fixed on him as he headed toward the minibar. My heart beat rapidly, blocking out the noise of the room.

"Samuele!" I called out, the sound escaping me like a mixture of a cry and a laugh.

His head whipped around at the sound of my voice, his eyes scanning me from head to toe in a heartbeat, filled with concern. As if he was checking for any visible signs of injury, making sure I was okay.

I reached him, my hand extending to touch his face, ready to pull him into a hug. But before I could, Marco's cold voice sliced through the air, causing him to take a step back from me.

"Samuele," Marco called to him sharply.

With just his name leaving his mouth, Samuele's demeanor shifted as if he didn't even recognize me anymore.

I furrowed my eyebrows, puzzled by my brother's sudden change in demeanor. Taking another step towards him, I tried to reach out, but Samuele deftly sidestepped me, a tray of drink

I have a feeling that she'll lose one of her brothers, which will make her resentful and eventually leave Marco. How would he make her stay then?

I love that Lilianna stood up for herself. It feels more powerful with audience. She doesn't has physical strength compared to the men, which feels intimidating, so I'm proud she shed the typical feminine rage, and found an output for herself. It's healthier on the long run with positive outcomes.
