Lucius's lips parted into a nasty, cold grin as his eyes fixed on me. I could feel his gaze drill a hole in my head as if he had the ability to steal my thoughts. Nausea hit me, dragging a cold shiver along with it. His bodyguards stood behind him two feet away from the table, but I knew he stood as a deadly threat even without them. He sat in this room as if he already owned this company. He even looked at me as if he could have me at the snap of his fucking fingers. Well, I was about to prove him wrong.

“Hello, Sarah.” I barely resisted a flinch, hearing the terrifying tone of his voice. “Missed me?”

“Don't speak to her,” growled Alex.
