36. Too hot to handle

I stepped out of Enzo's car, feeling nervous. The house was still standing, and I had loads of memories. It was like I was having a flashback. My smile widened when I saw the person who had become my second mother.

"Nanay?" I whispered weakly, my voice croaked."

Nanay Meline paused and whirled halfway to see me. I strode slowly at her, and she stood there in shock.

"K-Kyla?" in her weary voice.

"I miss you!" I hugged her straight away.

"K-Kyla?" She still couldn't believe it. I can feel that in her voice. "My baby," she hugged me back tightly.

"Oh, it's you! Thank goodness you are okay." She touched my face and looked worried. Her eyes welled up, and she hugged me again.

"I'm all good, Nay," I said in relief. "How have you been?" I looked at her from head to toe and back. It's been a while since I've seen her, but I always keep her informed about what's happening with me. However, following Kylie's disappearance, I haven't been in touch with her.

"Uhm, Nay, this is Enzo, my
