Klaus

I furrowed my brows as I saw him walk straight past me towards the window, his gaze fixed outside it.

It is funny he thinks we have a choice. It was either we gave Nora the things she demanded, or I would get into trouble for signing the contract. If Nora takes me to court, it wouldn't just be me that would go down; everything my father had suffered to build with his sweat and people's blood would go down with it. I needed to make him understand that.

I took a few steps closer to the window until I stood beside him, my hands not leaving my pockets. "You know why Nora was not perturbed when you saw her?" I asked, knowing his answer would be negative.

"I don't care to know, Klaus. All I know is that we won't give her the things she demands!" He turned to get a better look at me as he snarled, "Can you even listen to yourself? You want us to give back the two essential things she can use to fight us? How could you allow that girl use you in such a manner? How could you make such a
