Chapter 18

The next day came and Matthew decided to take a week off so he sent the nannies on a week-long break after today. He wanted to go with their parents to go and visit Ambrose now that he was awake. Melanie also voiced her worries about how they were going to tell Ambrose that his sister is gone. Matthew feels guilt about Alana's death. He kept thinking that maybe Alana was just carrying one child, she may have survived.

He's scared that once Ambrose gets caught up with everything, he'll hate him. He already lost him once, he's scared that he'll lose him again once he's fully recovered. Matthew met with Lorraine and Michael in the lobby while Lucas and Melanie already went ahead to Ambrose's room. Ambrose was transferred to a lower floor since he was already awake. Matthew felt some kind of a relief seeing that Ambrose is no longer connected to a ton of wires and tubes.
