"I-yeah," Lily stammered. She turned to the two people. "Excuse us."

              Being treated so sweetly like that touched her. Lily smiled while looking at her hand that was still held by Keenan. It wasn't until they reached the parking lot that their hands were unlinked.

"Why, sweetheart?"

Lily shook her head lightly. "Thank you, Keenan."

Her husband's forehead immediately wrinkled. "For?"

"Yes. You wanted to introduce me to them earlier." Lily chuckled faintly then looked up afterwards. Those beautiful eyes looked teary. She recalled her ex-mother-in-law's frequent prohibitions against Adrian taking her to parties or banquets with business colleagues.

"You are my wife. That's what I'm supposed to do." Keenan then wrapped his arms around Lily's shoulders. Landing his lips on her crown for quite a while.
