Seraphina POV

Lyla wailed as the final tethers to her mate bond severed. She covered him with her body. We just stood there, allowing her to have her moment. I was finding that even though I hated Allister and have so many reasons for him to die, I wasn’t a monster who wouldn’t let his mate have a moment with the deceased.
