CHAPTER 17

CASSANDRA

It's more than a week since Jaxon and Kris beat me. Some of my bruises are already gone, but the one on my side it's only started fading. But I'm thankful my body doesn't hurt anymore when I move.

James and his assistant are my constant visitors, and now I'm used to James's presence. I didn't blush or feel shy when he was around, and I can now talk to him without stuttering.

I notice that James is very friendly and talkative. There is no dull moment when he is around because he always finds a topic to talk about, and he is always smiling. I love his company so much.
